For the Wicoatec coating technology, the Wieland Group receives EUR 350,000 from the Federal Environment Ministry (BMUB) for the implementation of an innovative coating concept under the Environmental Innovation Program.
The newly interpreted process, which is based on a CVD (chemical vapor deposition) process, reduces the amount of process chemicals required and significantly reduces energy consumption.
The Wieland Group also regards this project funding as recognition of its long-standing efforts to invest in innovative technologies and increase energy efficiency.
The BMUB has published a separate press release on this funding project. Further information about Wicoatec can be found at wieland. com/coatings.
